Komfort 4 Kids News Updates

November 2006 - Hello everyone!  We have now hit the 200 mark as far and donated blankets and I am still here as acting project manager.  We have just donated 29 blankets to Princess Margaret Hospital thanks to the "Petroleum Women of Perth" quilting group.  The ladies made some absolutely gorgeous quilts and blankets.  Their picture is in the "volunteer photos" section of the website.  Thankfully, a few of the ladies have also offered to help me with the project, so as of now, the project will continue and I will remain acting project manager until someone wishes to step in and take it over completely.  With the festive season fast approaching, I know there is not much spare time to be found, but we would love to receive any blankets you have been meaning to donate.  They will surely find new owners over the holiday season when, although a happy time for many, it can be a not-so-happy time for others.  Until later...have a safe and happy holiday season!

Kind regards-

Patti Elliott

June 2006 - I just wanted to thank everyone who attended and helped at the Blanket Day on May 20, 2006.  It was a great success and we gained 70 blankets as a result!  These blankets have been given to children at Princess Margaret Hospital and Parkerville Children's Home and I am sure have been appreciated by all who received them.  I also wanted to let everyone know that I am stepping down as Project Manager due to family and work commitments so I am eager to find someone who would like to continue the project.  If you have an interest, please contact me!

Until later....

Patti  :)

November 7, 2005 - WOW!!! What a weekend!  A big thank you to the Western Suburbs Sewing Guild for holding a blanket sewing day on Saturday November 5 and donating the results of their labours.  Sixteen blankets were made and donated on the day and a few more were taken home to complete to donate later.  The wonderful ladies of the Guild also donated the remaining fabric purchased for blankets, so if any of you have the urge to do some sewing and need some materials, let me know!   Watch the website for some updated photos soon!

Happy Crafting!

Patti
